Problem

What games or sporting events can you name where the winners are going
backwards?  (Rule out a baseball player backing up to catch the winning
out; rather, the action of backing up is somehow involved in producing
the win.)

Examples: Game:  The final jump of an opponent in checkers with a King.
          Sport: The high jump using the Fosbury Flop.

Figure skating

Target shooting.  The bullet goes forward, but everything actually
involving the winner's body (trigger pull, recoil) goes backward.

(A long list of sports was posted in response to this same question
a few months ago, but unfortunately I didn't save it, nor can I find
it in the archive.)
